Renowned Scholar to Speak at Millis Institute Launch Dinner

Over the past decade, there is probably no one who has influenced the conversation around Christian education and worldview more than Dr. James K. A. Smith. I consider his book Desiring the Kingdom: Worship, Worldview and Cultural Formation a must-read for anyone interested in education and Christian worldview. On 18 July, I'm thrilled that Dr. Smith will speak at the Millis Institute Launch Dinner, celebrating the arrival of our first cohort of tertiary students. During this event, which will take place at Tattersall's Club in Brisbane, Dr. Smith will address How (Not) To Be Secular: Cultural Engagement in a Pluralist Age. Earlier that day, this renowned scholar from Calvin College (Michigan) will headline the inaugural CHC Research Symposium entitled Learning and Loves: Re-imagining Christian Education. Held on CHC's campus, this two-day symposium will include the presentation of research papers concerning themes such as formation, discipleship, and the role of imagination in education. Dr. Smith's keynote will be based on his seminal book Desiring the Kingdom. Registration for both events is now open here. Seats for the Launch Dinner are limited, so reserve your place now to help us celebrate this very special event!
